Mirra Andreeva vs. Lois Boisson Match Preview, Prediction and Betting Odds for the French Open 2025 Quarterfinals

Rudra Dubey

Can Boisson keep the fairytale alive against the favorite?

Sixth seed Mirra Andreeva is set to face wildcard Lois Boisson in the Roland Garros quarterfinals. The last remaining Frenchwoman in the draw, Boisson pulled off one of the shocks of the season by stunning third seed Jessica Pegula in the previous round with a set down. Relatively unknown, she has made an unexpected run, cruising past Maria Sakkari and Anhelina Kalinina in straights before outlasting fellow wildcard Elsa Jaquemont in three sets.

Andreeva, meanwhile, hasn’t dropped a set all tournament, easing past Cristina Bucsa, Ashlyn Krueger, 32nd seed Yulia Putintseva, and 17th seed Daria Kasatkina. A semifinalist here last year, the Russian is chasing back-to-back deep runs in the French Open. Though everything is new for Boisson, an overnight success. Is this a fairytale stretch or the rise of a genuine force? We’ll find out soon enough.

Mirra Andreeva vs. Lois Boisson Match Preview

Andreeva, 18, has had a streaky but productive season, picking up titles in both Dubai and Indian Wells. She started strong with a semifinal run in Brisbane and followed it up with a fourth-round finish in Melbourne.

After Indian Wells, she hit a brief slump but quickly rebounded with quarterfinal runs in Madrid, Rome, and now the French Open. Statistically, she’s been solid, firing 123 aces, winning 75.7% of her service games, 40.1% of return games, and converting break points at an impressive 51.8%.

Meanwhile, Boisson, 22, has only featured in three events this season, one of them being Roland Garros. She opened her year with a last-16 exit in Rouen, followed by a round-of-32 finish in Saint-Malo. But as a wildcard at the French Open, she stunned third seed Jessica Pegula in the fourth round, one of the biggest shocks of the season.

The win made her the lowest-ranked French Open quarterfinalist in nearly 40 years and the first at any Slam since 2017. In just three matches, she’s struck 13 aces and committed five double faults.

Mirra Andreeva vs. Lois Boisson Prediction

On paper, Andreeva holds the edge with her consistency, experience at the top level, and sharp numbers across key categories. She’s handled big stages before, and her recent form backs her up.

Boisson, though, is riding a wave of momentum, playing fearless tennis with nothing to lose in front of a home crowd. That said, unless Andreeva lets the moment get away from her, it’s hard to see her slipping here.

Prediction: Mirra Andreeva in straight sets

Mirra Andreeva vs. Lois Boisson French Open 2025 Betting Odds

The odds are stacked: Andreeva is a 1/9 favorite, while Boisson sits at 23/4, a reflection of their gap in experience and form. With over 75% of service games won and a break point conversion above 50%, Andreeva’s numbers back her as the clear statistical favorite. She’s also riding a streak of deep clay runs.

Still, Boisson has already shocked the draw by upsetting Pegula and will have the home crowd behind her. She may land a few early punches, but Andreeva should have the edge to close it.

Here are the betting odds according to BetMGM

Mirra Andreeva: 1/9

Lois Boisson: 23/4
