French Open 2025 Schedule: Key Dates from Qualifiers to Finals
The French Open, aka Roland Garros, is knocking on the door, ready with its slow balls, higher bounces, and sliding players on the iconic clay courts. As the second tennis Grand Slam of the year, it takes place annually at Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. Last year, Carlos Alcaraz claimed the men’s singles crown, while Iga Swiatek defended her title for an impressive third consecutive time.
The tournament’s most famous stage, Court Philippe-Chatrier, has been upgraded with a retractable roof, a game-changer for rain delays, which are all too common in Paris. Founded way back in 1891, Roland Garros has been the backdrop for some of tennis’s most legendary moments. Rafael Nadal, often hailed as the “King of Clay,” reigns supreme with a record 14 men’s singles titles at this very tournament.

mma I’m an academic turned sports writer from Raipur, India, specializing in the NFL, MMA, and tennis at The Playoffs. I previously wrote for Sportskeeda and hold a B.A. and M.A. in History. My journey into sports media began far from the field, rooted in the arts and sciences. Funny enough, I didn’t grow up a sports fan; I used to see it all as just noise. But a fateful writing job introduced me to the world of sports, and what began as a gig quickly became a passion. I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
