Bayley’s Mystery Attacker Revealed! Is WWE planning to start a new rivalry?

Get to know all about who attacked Bayley during WrestleMania 41 weekend and if this is the beginning of a new rivalry.

Bayley’s culprit from the WrestleMania 41 weekend has finally been revealed on Monday Night Raw. She was supposed to have a tag team match with Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Bayley however, found herself attacked and injured during WrestleMania 41 Night 1. Naturally, her partner had to find a replacement for the match.

The replacement was the returning Becky Lynch. She and Lyra Valkyria won the title in WrestleMania 41 Night 2. However, they lost it again to the former champions the next Raw. This led to Becky Lynch snapping and viciously beating down her one-time protege. She then returned to Monday Night Raw on April 28, 2025 and revealed the reasons behind her actions from the last week. She also revealed Bayley’s attacker during the WrestleMania 41 weekend. So who was it?

Becky Lynch declared herself to be Bayley’s attacker

Becky Lynch revealed to the WWE Universe on Monday Night Raw that there was no murder mystery or week-long whodunit begind Bayley’s attacker. Because, it was her, “The Man” who did it all (via WWE on X).

Becky Lynch then went on to explain the reason behind her attack on Bayley in true heel fashion. “The Man” stated that the fans should not consider her to be the bad guy because it was Bayley who had attacked her non-stop since 2019 but never apologized for her actions once. She also went on to rant against Lyra Valkyria for choosing Bayley instead of her. She declared Lyra Valkyria to be a loser for choosing Bayley over her and those two would never have won the titles at WrestleMania. This brought out the Women’s Intercontinental Champion (via WWE on X).

Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch trash talked each other before setting up a match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship between the two. This ended up in a brawl between the two with “The Man” retreating. However, she turned up later only to attack Lyra Valkyria from behind once again (via WWE on X).

Has a new rivalry started in the WWE?

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria went on from being friends and tag team partners to bitter rivals and enemies in the WWE. Valkyria will be defending her Women’s Intercontinental title against Lynch on Backlash. She will not be expected to lose to Becky Lynch at Backlash. This can continue the rivalry for some time. Moreover, it can also help Lyra Valkyria to grow as a singles star on her own.

However, the WWE creative team can also insert Bayley into this rivalry. She might return as a babyface to save her old tag team partner from a vicious beat down by Becky Lynch after one of the matches. This will happen once Lyra Valkyria loses the title to Becky Lynch. This can start Bayley’s revenge storyline against Becky Lynch.

Another storyline is that Bayley returns as a tweener and attacks both Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch. She will attack Becky Lynch for her actions during the WrestleMania weekend and Lyra Valkyria for teaming up with Becky Lynch. She might insert herself once again into the Women’s Intercontinental title scene making the rivalry a triple-threat in the process.
