Get to know all about the 5 things that might take place at Monday Night Raw on April 21, 2025
The 41st edition of WrestleMania is in the books for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The two-day weekend event saw several surprising events happen. Fans witnessed title changes, betrayals, returns and the crowning of a new Undisputed WWE Champion. The company is now looking forward to its next premium live event, Backlash on May 10, 2025. However, April 2025 will also include the 2025 WWE Draft.
The Raw and SmackDown weekly will also start a new chapter in storytelling leading to the next event. Fans are left wondering about what can happen on Monday Night Raw on April 21, 2025. This is the first weekly show following the WrestleMania weekend. Raw after WrestleMania will be taking place from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Some of the featured stars include John Cena, Jey Uso, Lyra Valkyria among others. However, no information has been provided about the actual show. Therefore, here are some things that might take place on the show for this week.
John Cena finally managed to become the 17-time World Champion that he always wanted to be since becoming a heel. He has started calling himself as “the last real champion.” Moreover, he fielded every question during the post show media conference as clickbait (via WWE on YouTube).
So, this “last real champion” might kick off the show bragging about himself, like the heel he is. He would say how he achieved everything himself during the match and never needed the support of the fans. To celebrate his victory, he might throw an Open challenge like he used to do back in 2015 after he became the United States Champion. This might bring out Cody Rhodes who would accuse him of cheating at WrestleMania and demand a rematch. However, unlike last time, John Cena would not grant it to him. He might further add that anyone can challenge him for the title except Cody Rhodes. John Cena would state that Cody Rhodes is finished in the “the last champion’s eyes and it’s time to move on. This would lead to an enraged Cody Rhodes attacking John Cena, thereby making him flee the ring and further continue their storyline.
Jey Uso might want to inject “the power of positivity” into the fans after John Cena’s tantrums. Hence, the “YEET Master of WWE might want to celebrate his own success and share it the fans as well in his usual style. Gunther might come out and congratulate Jey Uso for bringing the fight to him and claiming the title at WrestleMania. He might also ask for a rematch which the “YEET”-er of WWE might grant unlike John Cena. The match might be set up for Backlash or even before that.
Seth “Freakin” Rollins and his new ally Paul Heyman might arrive on the scene next. “The Visionary” might start bragging about how he destroyed and took everything from Roman Reigns as well as CM Punk at WrestleMania. Paul Heyman, being Heyman, might claim that he betrayed Reigns and Punk as he no longer considers them to be valuable. This might bring out CM Punk who would express his dissatisfaction with Heyman and even warn Rollins that Heyman wont hesitate to do the same to him when the time comes. Strangely, Roman Reigns might not be around for this segment.
Rusev or Aleister Black might make their presence felt on the brand for the first time since they returned to the company. They might find their opponents in the form of a debuting NXT talent like Trick Williams or Tony D’Angelo from NXT. This might lead to a storyline ebtween the veterans and the newcomers to the main roster.
Becky “The Man” Lynch and Lyra “Two Belts” Valkyria might stare their victories in WrestleMania with their fans. The Judgement Day (Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez) can come out and demanding a rematch. The new babyface champions might grant it at Backlash.
Notably, other segments of the show might feature tensions within the Judgement Day as Finn Balor might think that “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio pinned him on purpose during their WrestleMania match. This might set in motion the road for Finn Balor to once again become the beloved babyface that he once was.

My favorite part about working at The Playoffs is speculating what can be happening in WWE, especially face-heel turns and results of matches.
