Paul Heyman betrays his OTC and his Best Friend and forms an alliance with Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman pulled a stunner together.

CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns have been the spearheads of WWE for a very long time. Their strength invites challenge, and such dominance, when challenged, can create dispute and hence battles. The same has been the issue with these three superstars of WWE. CM Punk’s entry to WWE brought a challenge for both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. This started a confrontation that grew into a war over time.

This war entered the decisive phase when CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns met at the Main Event of WrestleMania Day 1. This was the first time CM Punk featured in a WrestleMania Main Event. He had the advantage that his best friend, Paul Heyman, was by his side. The match started, and CM Punk mocked Roman Reigns by putting his hands on Paul Heyman’s shoulders. Their hatred for each other was apparent during the entire match.

A Match Worthy of the WrestleMania Main Event Day 1

CM Punk dominated Roman Reigns before turning his attention to Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins and CM Punk battled in the crowd and hit each other with trash cans, and their brawl gave Roman Reigns the required time to recover. He started dominating the match, but just when he went for the Superman Punch, CM Punk countered it with a Neckbreaker. CM Punk started building momentum with two Running Knees to both Rollins and The OTC.

CM Punk then performed a DDT and an Inverted DDT on both Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins simultaneously. Roman Reigns and CM Punk performed a Doomsday Device on Seth Rollins. CM Punk then held Roman Reigns in an Anaconda Vise, but Seth Rollins performed a Frog Splash to break the hold. It was Seth Rollins’ turn to dominate, who delivered a Buckle Bomb to both CM Punk and Roman Reigns.

They took turns to dominate the match as no one was ready to give in. Roman Reigns shifted the momentum towards him with a Spear to CM Punk. He then went for a Spear to Seth Rollins, but the latter countered with a Pedigree, followed by a Stomp. The OTC again tried to steal the momentum by spearing CM Punk, but he dodged, and it hit Seth Rollins. CM Punk delivered a GTS to OTC to gain momentum.

Seth Rollins won both Physical and Mental battles at WrestleMania

The brutal match continued, and the momentum shifted from one opponent to another like a ping-pong ball. CM Punk was going for another GTS on the OTC, but Seth Rollins delivered a Pedigree to him. Seth Rollins asked Roman Reigns to align with him and take CM Punk out. Roman Reigns, however, had different plans as he delivered a Powerbomb to both CM Punk and Seth Rollins, sending them through the announcer’s table.

Roman Reigns then Speared Seth Rollins and then held CM Punk in a Chokehold. He went for a Chokehold on Seth Rollins, but later somehow escaped and delivered a stomp to him. CM Punk took advantage and delivered a GTS to Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns delivered a Spear to CM Punk, and Seth Rollins delivered a Stomp to Roman Reigns, and all three of them were on the floor. They went through such brutality, but neither of them gave up.

Paul Heyman took a chair and gave it to CM Punk, showing he chose him over Roman Reigns. Just when CM Punk was about to deliver a chairshot to Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman turned heel on him and delivered a low blow. He then gave the Chair to OTC, who delivered three chair shots to CM Punk. Just when The OTC turned his attention to Seth Rollins and was going for a chairshot, Paul Heyman turned heel on him as well.

He delivered another low blow, this time to Roman Reigns, handing over the chair to Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins delivered a chair shot, followed by a curb stomp to Roman Reigns. He pinned The OTC to win the match. The brutal punishments were never enough to keep Roman Reigns and CM Punk down. They succumbed to mental betrayal from their Wiseman, and a best friend.
