Sophie Cunningham sustained a right ankle injury during her team’s final preseason game against the Atlanta Dream.
Indiana Fever will host Atlanta Dream for second successive home game in the WNBA on Tuesday evening. Both teams recently locked horns in a pre-season tie and the Fever had the laugh with a 81-76 victory.
The Fever are high on confidence after their record-breaking blowout victory over Chicago Sky in season opener. Caitlin Clark dropped a triple-double to make a WNBA history. However, the flagrant foul and racist comments drama diverted the Fever’s gameplan. They would look to move on from previous game and push the winning momentum.
On the other hand, Atlanta Dream are coming off a 94-90 loss to Washington Mystics in their season-opener. Despite a 45-41 lead at halftime, Dream lost the momentum in second half to lose the game. Allisha Gray’s 25-point outing and Brionna Jones’ double-double were highlighting points for Atlanta. It would be a great chance for Dream to take a revenge of pre-season loss.
