Caitlin Clark Makes WNBA History in Fever’s Victory Over Sky in Season Opener

Clark tied Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in the league history with three.

Caitlin Clark made a brilliant start to her sophomore season in the WNBA and dropped a triple-double in the Indiana Fever’s 35-point blowout victory against the Chicago Sky in season-opener. With this victory, Angel Reese takes 4-1 lead over Angel Reese in H2H matchups. Indiana also marked their largest season-opening win in franchise history.

Caitlin Clark, the 2024 rookie of the year, finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists as Indiana secured a 93-58 win. The 22-year-old was shooting 46.2 percent from the field and also added two steals and four blocks.

Caitlin Clark Becomes Fastest Player in WNBA history to Reach 3 Career Triple-Doubles

Caitlin Clark made a stunning season debut for the Fever and dropped his third triple-double of the WNBA career. She tied Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in the league history with three. The 22-year-old is now just behind Sabrina Ionescu (4) and Alyssa Thomas (15).

Indiana Fever guard also become the fastest player to reach three triple-doubles in WNBA history. Clark took just 41 games to record three triple-doubles. Caitlin Clark has 6% of the triple-doubles in WNBA history.

Clark now has second-most 20 points and 10 assists game in WNBA history and she is the fastest to reach here. The 22-year-old becomes the first player in the league history to record 20/10/10 in a season opener. She tied Alyssa Thomas for the second-most 20-point triple-doubles in WNBA history.

Aliyah Boston, the Fever’s No. 1 pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft, scored 19 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Kelsey Mitchell and forward Natasha Howard finished with 15 points apiece. Angle Reese led the Sky with 12 points and 17 rebounds but couldn’t get the support in offense.

“We just have so many weapons, and that’s what’s so fun,” Clark said. The 2024 Rookie Of The Year will be in action again for Indiana Fever’s next match against the Atlanta Dream on Tuesday.
