Every season we’re seeing a rise in pay with the NFL contracts getting bigger and bigger. Earlier there used to be quite a gap between what the best quarterbacks earned and what players from other position got but now it seems like the margin is getting closer. This is a result of all the lucrative TV deals, sales, and even the popularity of the sport, which only seems to get bigger with each passing year.
Some of the players in today’s game absolutely command huge contracts, like Ja’Marr Chase agreeing to a $40.25 million a year contract, or Myles Garrett signing a $40 million per annum deal. Both these players have produced at an elite rate and there was no way that these two would have taken any less than what they got. Garrett had threatened to leave Cleveland but the kind of money that the Browns offered was just too much to leave behind. Chase just came off of a Triple Crown season and we all knew that he was going to have a huge pay day.
So today we will list down the highest paid non-quarterbacks in the league and the list is going to blow your mind!
Chase signed a 4-year $161 million contract with the Bengals, which includes $112 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $40,250,000, which makes him the highest paid non-QB player in the league.
Sitting number two in the list is Myles Garrett, who signed a $160 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. The deal also includes an average annual salary of $40 million, and $123,595,000 guaranteed. Garrett has secured even more guaranteed money than Chase and even though he wanted to initially leave Cleveland, there was just too much money offered on the table to decline.
Maxx Crosby signed a $106 million contract with the Las Vegas Raiders which includes $91.5 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $35.5 million, which puts at the third spot.
Jefferson had signed a 4-year $140 million contract with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024 which includes $110 million guaranteed and $88.7 million fully guaranteed at the time of signing. His deal also includes $35 million as his average annual salary which was the highest for a non-QB at the time of signing. Jefferson sits at the 4th spot on the list.
Nick Bosa signed a 5-year $170 million contract with the 49ers which includes $122.5 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $34 million. Similarly CeeDee Lamb had signed a 4-year $136 million deal with the Cowboys in 2024 which includes $100 million guaranteed, and will receive an average annual salary of $34 million. Looking at their annual salaries they both will earn exactly the same which puts them tied for the fifth spot.
