“Looking to Get Back Where We Belong”- Haas Drivers Look Forward to Next Races!

Rohan Singh

Read the driver opinion of Haas F1 competitors about Spanish Grand Prix.

The Spanish Grand Prix saw the Haas cars finishing in P16 and P17. Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman had a terrible weekend in Spain after their previous success. Haas was looking stronger in the previous races. The team was able to bring better results in Imola and Monaco.

Everything went against the plan for Haas in Spain. They are among the faster cars of the midfield. Still, their strategy was unable to help them claim points in Barcelona. The hot temperatures were a big factor which contributed to the failure of Haas in Barcelona. Here’s how the Haas drivers reacted to their race in Spain.

Esteban Ocon Hoping For Strong Performance in Canada from Haas

Esteban Ocon fell down the order during tje chaotic race restart of the Spanish GP. The Frenchman was racing on older tyres and his team decided not to pit him. Ocon agreed that there was not much to gain from the back of the pack. Thus, pitting for new tyres was not going to work out either for him.

“We’ll take the positives out of the races that we had like Monaco, obviously Canada is another street circuit, so looking to get back where we belong in the next one.”

Esteban Ocon is hoping that a break before th next race can help their team understand their shortcomings. Now that Alpine and Sauber are also starting to show better performance, things are going to get tougher for Haas.

Oliver Bearman Goes From Points to Penalty

Oliver Bearman was the among the highlights of the weekend at Haas. The young rookie was fighting Liam Lawson throughout the race for points finish. He was looking strong for a P10 finish. Unfortunately, he was handed a 10s penalty for leaving track to gain advantage.

“I think there’s a lot to take from it, a lot to learn, particularly from this weekend which was incredibly hot, and I think we exposed a few weaknesses with our race pace, but moving on to Canada I’m looking forward to it.”

Oliver Bearman is among the better rookies of the 2025 season. But the Briton is yet to display consistency in scoring points.
