Let’s find out the team behind Aryna Sabalenka’s glorious run in the women’s grand slams and WTA events.
Aryna Sabalenka has had quite a few coaches since turning pro. For three years (2015-18), she worked under Khalil Ibrahimov. The Belarusian ace joined the hands with the former coach of Stanislas Wawrinka, Magnus Norman but it didn’t last for long.
Sabalenka hired former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov as new head coach in July 2018. During his three-year stint, Sabalenka won five WTA titles, including three WTA-1000 events. Next coach was German Dieter Kindlmann. Aryna Sabalenka is currently being coached by Anton Dubrov.
Anton Dubrov is currently working with Aryna Sabalenka as the head coach and in a run of four years, he helped Sabalenka to become a superior tennis star in the world. Dubrov is a former tennis player who started playing this sport at age five. He is taking the legacy of his grandfather, Eduard Dubrov, who was a popular tennis coach.
As we mentioned earlier, Sabalenka has had quite a few coaches and she hired Dubrov as her head coach in 2020 after the departure of Magnus Norman. During his tenure, Sabalenka won three Grand Slam singles’ title and two doubles’ titles. She also became the No. 1 tennis player. The Belarusian ace won three tour titles in Dubrov’s first year as coach and in the same year, she made a debut in the top-10.
