Magomed Ankalaev has seen another opponent refuse to fight him at UFC 317. The UFC has not been able to secure an opponent yet for the new Light Heavyweight Champion for the event.

Magomed Ankalaev won the Light Heavyweight title by defeating Alex “Poatan” Pereira at UFC 313. He was ready for a rematch against Alex Pereira at UFC 317. However, Alex Pereira had rejected the fight. This was followed by another UFC fighter who had rejected the fight against Magomed Ankalaev. This led to Magomed Ankalaev calling out the second UFC fighter for rejecting the fight. Let’s have a look at who this fighter is and Magomed Ankalaev has said regarding these former opponents.

Magomed Ankalaev Trolls Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira for Rejecting the Fight

Magomed Ankalaev has found a new subject for his trolling after Alex Pereira. Jiri Prochazka has become the latest subject of his trolling. Both of them have been feuding on social media for a long time. Alex Pereira had earlier rejected the rematch against the present champion at UFC 317. This led to the UFC approaching Jiri Prochazka to become Magomed Ankalaev’s opponent for the title at UFC 317. Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira had also been rivals for the Light Heavyweight title. However, Jiri Prochazka also did not agree to the fight due to his University exams. Hence. Magomed Ankalaev resorted to trolling both his former opponents through his official X account –

Magomed Ankalaev even went on to calling Jiri Prochazka “Fake Ninja” for not accepting the fight. He also went on to state that Jiri Prochazka cannot read so needs to back to his school. However, he considered himself not to be a bully and left Alex Pereira behind as Pereira does not want the “Ank” anymore. He then went on to ask Dana White and Mick Maynard for some fish.

Jailton Almeida Is Ready To Step Up and Face Magomed Ankalaev

Magomed Ankalaev seems to have an opponent ready to face him inside the Octagon at UFC 317. Jailton Almeida has accepted challenge and is ready to face the light heavyweight champion. This is after the champion asked via X account that if anybody in the light heavyweight division is willing to fight him as Alex Pereira and Jiri Prochazka do not want to. This is where Jailton Almeida accepted the champion’s challenge through his own official X account–

The UFC, it seems, will have to make a final decision now that someone has answered Magomed Ankalaev’s challenge. However, Almeida presently belongs in the Heavyweight division. UFC 317 is taking place during the company’s annual International Fight Week on June 28, 2025. Fans of the company can very well Jailton Almeida vs Magomed Ankalaev at the event if the company cannot come up with a suitable opponent from the light heavyweight division for Magomed Ankalaev.
