Jared Gordon took part in the post fight interview after UFC Vegas after his win on May 17, 2025. He was questioned about Paddy Pimblett, his former rival and he had the utmost respect while also giving a cheeky jab. Jared Gordon responded with the statement (via Verdict MMA App on Instagram) –
“How could you not like Paddy? They did a great job matching him. He’s funny and he’s winning, but I still think I’m on a six-fight unbeaten streak.”
However, Jared Gordon also playfully jabbed Paddy Pimblett by saying that it took him 20 minutes to get to the ring during their fight. However, he enjoyed it and is happy for his former rival. Gordon also stated that he would love to fight Paddy Pimblett once again (MMA Junkie on YouTube).
Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon faced off against each other at UFC 282: Blachowicz vs Ankalaev on December 10, 2022 as per the official UFC site. Paddy Pimblett won the fight via unanimous decision in five minutes of Round 3. However, this fight proved to be one of the most controversial of 2022. Fans were not happy with the decision because Jared “Flash” Gordon had won two of the three round fight between them. Paddy Pimblett had wanted a rematch against Jared Gordon but Jared Gordon refused the rematch at the time.
