War Raiders WWE: Why did The Viking Raiders change their name?

Vince McMahon made a last minute call to change the name of the Viking Raiders to War Raider as he didn’t like them being called the Berzerkers. Previously known as the War Machine, the War Raiders have gone through multiple name changes- from being called The Viking Experience to The Viking Raiders.

Known for their brutal display of power and dominating game play, they currently enter the ring as The War Raiders in the RAW brand of WWE. Their recently concluded match set them enroute to challenge the WWE RAW tag team champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the title match.

What is the new name for The Viking Raiders?

War Raiders is the new name for The Viking Raiders. The tag team is managed by Sarah Logan and consists of Raymond Rowe Jr. known as Erik, and Todd Smith who is better known as Ivar in the WWE. Sarah Logan performs as Valhalla. Valhalla teamed with Eric and Ivar to form the Viking Raiders and joined the 2023 WWE Draft to the RAW brand.

They recently had a match up with The Judgment Day’s Dirty Dom and Carlito, where they defeated via pinfall. This win will send chills down the Judgment Day’s spine as they are now the #1 contenders for the RAW tag team title, which is currently owned by the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.

Who is the girl with the War Raiders?

Sarah Logan, better known as the Valhalla on the RAW Women’s roster, is part of the War Raiders and also manages the tag team. She also goes by the name Sarah Rowe after marrying Erik in 2018. She made her debut as a member of the Riot Squad on the Smackdown brand of WWE in 2014. After making her return to WWE in 2022, she is now a full-time member of the War Raiders.
