Tom Aspinall received some words of wisdom from GSP

It was none other than Georges St-Pierre, also known as GSP, who had to offer some words of wisdom to Tom Aspinall. Notably, Tom Aspinall had earlier stated that he adores Georges St-Pierre. More recently, GSP appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show on April 29, 2025. Ariel Helwani mentioned Tom Apsinall and what St-Pierre think he should be doing. GSP replied-

“I think Tommy needs to focus on the next, next task. I remember when I lost to Matt Serra, I was making the mistake of thinking about Matt Serra and trying to get my rematch immediately. But I had a full other fights lined up before to get there. And if he’s only focusing on Jon Jones, and if Jon Jones doesn’t come back right away, he’s not focusing on the right thing. He needs to focus on ‘What is next?’, the next path, because the rest is, it’s a distraction, things that need to be done will be done.”

That being said, GSP also mentioned that he would love to watch fight between Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones as a fan. Moreover, he revealed that he can understand Tom Aspinall’s point of view, that he’s a proud fighter and wants to be the best. GSP advised Tom Aspinall to self-hypnotize himself and focus on the next thing until the fight with Jon Jones happens. St-Pierre finally stated that Tom Aspinall’s hunger for the next thing will help him reach new levels of greatness in the UFC.

Notably, Ariel Helwani had posted his discussions with Georges St-Pierre on his official X account as well as his official Instagram account, Uncrowned also posted it on their official Instagram account.

Tom Aspinall’s UFC career has been pretty impressive career since he first arrived in 2020. He has faced multiple notable opponents like Andrei Arlovski, Curtis Blaydes, Sergei Pavlovioch and Alexander Volkov over the years.
