President Donald Trump has ignited excitement across the sports world with plans for a groundbreaking UFC event on the White House grounds, a first-of-its-kind spectacle blending combat sports with American Heritage. As part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations, this historic fight card promises to draw massive crowds and global attention, with UFC CEO Dana White confirming the promotion’s commitment, including a $700,000 investment to restore the South Lawn afterward.
The anticipation for this event is off the charts, fueled by Trump’s longstanding ties with the UFC, with his frequent cageside appearances at recent fights. Fans and fighters alike are buzzing about the venue, with many wondering who will fight inside the White House.
President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that the “big” UFC event on the White House grounds will take place on June 14, 2026. Speaking at Naval Station Norfolk to commemorate the US Navy’s 250th anniversary, Trump shared the specifics during his address to the audience present.
“And on June 14, next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right at the White House on the grounds,”
Trump stated, noting the dates coincides with his 80th birthday. This updates his earlier July announcement of a 2026 event without a specified day, shifting from initial July 4 considerations due to logistics.
Speculations has swirled around potential matchups featuring UFC’s biggest stars, to add to the hype. Conor McGregor has expressed his interest, with other names floated including Paddy Pimblett, light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira, and even Jon Jones whose status in the UFC has been confusing. Lightweight champ Ilia Topuria, may end up fighting too as he is one of, if not, the UFC’s biggest superstars currently.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
