Novak Djokovic will work his two familiar faces ahead of Ronald Garros.

The legendary tennis superstar, Novak Djokovic talked about his new coaching setup after announcing the separation with coach Andy Murray. The former No. 1 player in the ATP Rankings parted ways with Murray a week ago, bringing an end to their six-month coaching collaboration before season’s second Grand Slam tournament, French Open.

The former No. 1 player in the ATP Rankings revealed his planning with new faces for the 22nd edition of the Gonet Geneva Open. Djokovic and Murray started their collaboration in November 2024 and participated only in one Grand Slam tournament, Australian Open. The Serbian superstar reached the semifinal in year’s first grand slam competition in Melbourne but withdrew due to injury.

Novak Djokovic reveals new coaching set-up ahead of Ronald Garros

Djokovic talked about his coaching situation ahead of the Gonet Geneva Open which is the ATP 250 tournament. During the press-conference, the tennis legend revealed that he is not looking for a new head coach for a temporary period. Instead, he will work two familiar faces: Dusan Vemi and Boris Bosnjakovic.

Duan Vemi belongs to Djokovic’s country and he is a long-time associate from Djokovic’s earlier championship runs. Meanwhile, Boris Bosnjakovic remains the core part of Djokovic’s team as assistant coach and analyst.

“It was nice at Koutnjak. It’s always nice to be among my people. It gives me motivation to continue,” Djokovic shared about his recent training in Serbia. He cleared one thing that he is not looking for a coach.

“I’m not currently looking for a coach,” the Serbian legend made a clear statement on coaching setup ahead of Ronald Garros. “I don’t have any rush to choose whether I’m going to have someone or not, I don’t know. I don’t know at this moment.”

“Dusan Vemic, who is actually [the Serbian Billie Jean King] Cup captain — but he was part of my coaching team years ago with Marian — he’s here, so he’s going to be here with me in Geneva and Roland Garros,” Djokovic spoke to reporters at his pre-tournament press conference.

“And Boris Bosnjakovic, who is my assistant coach and analyst as well, so they’re both going to kind of share that role for the next couple tournaments and then we’ll see.”

Vemi was part of Djokovic’s glorious run at Grand Slam and ATP tour during 2011-2013 and again in 2016. The 24-time Grand Slam winner would look to retain the previous glory with Dusan Vemi.

This year, Djokovic has posted a 12-6 record and failed to win a single title since his Olympic gold medal in Paris last year. The Serbian star faced early defeats in Monte Carlo and Madrid. Earlier, he made into the Miami Open final but he couldn’t chase his 100th career win. Djokovic will kick off his Geneva Open campaign against Marton Fucsovics on Wednesday.
