The Roland Garros 2025 tournament, which is the second Grand Slam of the year, is set to get underway soon. It is an outdoor clay court event played at the Stade Roland Garros every year. Spanish icon Rafael Nadal is the most decorated player at the French Open in Paris – he won a record 14 trophies on Court Philippe Chatrier. Every year, 128 singles competitors and 64 doubles pairs fight it out for the coveted championships.
In 2024, Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek captured the singles titles at the French Open. In the doubles section, Arevalo/Pavic and Gauff/Siniakova are the defending champions. Siegemund and Roger-Vasselin won the mixed doubles crown which features 32 pairs. The qualifying event for Roland Garros 2025 kicks off on Monday, 19 May.

Every year, the French Open is held towards the end of May. The 2025 Roland Garros will take place between Sunday, 25 May and Sunday, 8 June. While the women’s singles final will be held on Saturday, the men’s singles final will close the curtains on the historic event.

Coming to the draw, the main draw for the competition will be finalised on Thursday, 22 May. The day’s proceedings will start at 14:00 Local Time [13:00 BST]. As a result, main draw entrants will learn their fate approximately three days prior to the start of play. There will be a total of 128 players in the singles categories – out of which just over 100 will enter through their ranking – and the remaining will be qualifiers, wild cards, and players with protected ranking.
