It was a busy night in the league!
Thursday night saw some big highs and lows in the NBA. While Karl-Anthony Towns’ made a memorable return to Minnesota, Stephen Curry and Co. had an embarrassing outing against Grizzlies. Meanwhile, LeBron James set up win for Lakers with his record-breaking appearance.
Let’s dive into the key results from a busy night in the league.
The Washington Wizards snapped their three-game losing streak with a solid 123-114 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Jordan Poole led the way with 27 points. Meanwhile, Malcolm Brogdon, returning from injury, was crucial as well, contributing 25 points.
The Houston Rockets continued their impressive run in regular season, with a 133-113 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Jalen Green had an explosive night, dropping 34 points to lead the Rockets, while the team shot 57.5% from the field and 43.6% from three-point range.
The Memphis Grizzlies crushed the Golden State Warriors 144-93 in a historic blowout. Multiple records were set and broken during the game. While Mavericks set a franchise record with 27 three-pointers, Warriors suffered their worst loss since a 140-88 defeat to Boston last season.
Santi Aldama led the charge with 21 points and 14 rebounds. For the Warriors, it was a night to forget, as Stephen Curry was held to just 2 points on 0-7 shooting.
Victor Wembanyama continued his dazzling season, scoring 42 points in an epic 133-126 overtime win for the Spurs against the Atlanta Hawks.
The young center also contributed with six rebounds, five assists, two steals and four blocks in 37 minutes of playing time, setting a new NBA record with the insane stat line.
The LA Clippers easily handled a shorthanded Dallas Mavericks, securing a 118-95 win. Norman Powell poured in 29 points, while Ivica Zubac added a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. James Harden chipped in with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Simons finished with 28 points and 10 assists, hitting the game-winning shot after a dramatic drive past Russell Westbrook.

In his first game back at Target Center, Karl-Anthony Towns delivered a statement performance, leading the New York Knicks to a 133-107 win over his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Towns posted 32 points and 20 rebounds, and six assists. Meanwhile, Julius Randle chipped in with 24 points and 5 rebounds and three assists for the Wolves.
The Los Angeles Lakers took down the Sacramento Kings 113-100. Austin Reaves led the Lakers with 25 points, while Davis anchored the defense with 21 points, 18 rebounds and four assists. LeBron James contributed 19 points, 6 rebounds and seven assists, as the Lakers won their second straight game.

The Chicago Bulls stunned the Boston Celtics at TD Garden in a controversial game, claiming a 117-108 win The Celtics were down by just three points with a little over five minutes remaining when the hosts were hit with three back-to-back technical fouls.
Boston coach Joe Mazzulla was hit with a technical foul after disagreeing with a call and had to be held back. Moments later, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were handed with technical fouls which led to a chaos that the defending champions could not recover from.
Zach LaVine posted a game-high 36 points, while Nikola Vucevic added 16 points and 14 rebounds in Bull’s win.
For Boston, Jayson Tatum finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds.
