What is the format for 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles? What are the special rules?

The 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles event comes up with a new format to add more value to the competition. 16 teams will compete in the event, 8 based on combined singles rankings and 8 wild cards.

All matches will be played in best-of-three sets with short sets played to four games. If sets are split, 10-point match tiebreak will decided the winner instead of third set. There will also be no-ad scoring which means the player can win the game if he wins the next points after deuce.
