The Kansas City Chiefs feature in 3 top ten games this season!
The NFL today, on its social media account, released a list of the top 10 games of the upcoming 2025 season, and it features some colossal matchups between teams that have been doing consistently well in the recent past.
The NFL schedule release, which is just a little over a week away, will give a perfect idea of when all the exciting games will take place; however, till then, here is a list of the top-ranked matchups for this season.
The rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills goes back a long way, but it has picked up so much steam ever since Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen became the starting quarterbacks of their respective teams.
This matchup has seen the Bills win most of the regular-season games between the two, but come the playoffs, the reigning MVP, Allen, and his team have fallen short every time. Nevertheless, both teams bring the best out of each other when they face off, and we should expect nothing less in the next chapter of the rivalry this season.
Last season, we came very close to seeing this gigantic matchup in the NFC Championship game, only the Washington Commanders had other plans as they trounced the Lions in the Divisional round. Detroit and Philly have been two of the best teams in the NFC for the past couple of seasons, so this game will be an interesting one for sure.
Both sides are equally matched roster-wise with superstars on both sides of the ball. While the Eagles boast of Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley, on offense, the Lions have Jared Goff, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sam LaPorta, and Jahmyr Gibbs.
However, the defense for both teams is no slouch either. Detroit will be led by Aidan Hutchinson, who should be back from injury by then, while the Eagles will have several leaders at each level of defense.
The Rams taking on the Ravens in Baltimore may be a surprising choice at number 3 here, but both sides have been perennial playoff contenders for the past few years. Los Angeles has made key changes to the roster in the offseason with the release of wideout Cooper Kupp, and the signing of Davante Adams being at the forefront. Moreover, the Rams will have the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year, Jared Verse, to lead the defense.
The Ravens added Derrick Henry to the backfield to team up with Lamar Jackson and form an impeccable running threat, and they have also added DeAndre Hopkins to the roster this season, which is an interesting move for sure. Defensively, Baltimore should be back to their usual best after starting off slowly last season.
A rematch of Super Bowl LIX should provide plenty of fireworks. The Chiefs will no doubt be looking for revenge, and what better place to do it than in front of their own fans at Arrowhead Stadium? The last meeting between the two teams will no doubt still be fresh in the minds of players and fans alike, so this matchup promises to live up to expectations.
Both sets of teams have undergone several key changes to the roster, with the Eagles losing some key defensive players in free agency and the Chiefs addressing their O-line issues during the offseason. But will that be enough for Kansas City is the question since Philly still boasts plenty of depth and quality.
Another matchup with two top-class quarterbacks in Joe Burrow and Josh Allen. Both teams have plenty of potential when it comes to the offensive side of things, but it is the defense that will be a worry.
The Bengals spent heavily on securing their wide receiver duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, making them the highest-earning WR1 and WR2, respectively. However, in doing so, they have neglected, to an extent, the contract situation of Trey Hendrickson, their superstar on defense.
As for the Bills, Josh Allen had an MVP season despite not having big names to throw to, but with Keon Coleman entering year 2, Khalil Shakir looking even better, and the addition of Joshua Palmer, Buffalo has quality in the receiver room. The addition of Joey Bosa to the defense this year could reward them handsomely if the move pays off.

This game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders should be another classic one as last year’s number one and number two overall picks go toe-to-toe for the second straight year.
Caleb Williams and the Bears will be eyeing this as a revenge game, having all but sealed the win last season only to see their season go haywire after losing on a hail mary attempt by Jayden Daniels. It was a turn of fortunes for both teams, and the Bears failed to get over that loss, while the Commanders’ confidence allowed them to march all the way to the NFC Championship game.
This is the third time the Chiefs feature in this list and the second time for the Ravens, but this game is sure to bring about entertainment when the two sides meet. In the 2023 season, the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC Conference Championship game, and last year, they again beat the Ravens in the season opener, even though it could have gone either way had if only Isaiah Likely could have kept his toe in bounds.
In any case, all that is in the past and the two teams will square off once again this year with Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson leading the way with 2 NFL MVP awards for each since the 2018 season.
The next matchup is a bit of an interesting one with the Denver Broncos taking on the Houston Texans. Both teams made the playoffs last season, but Denver got back to the postseason after a slump of 8 seasons in a row. Rookie signal caller, Bo Nix, stepped up his game immensely toward the end of last season and head coach Sean Payton will be looking to build on last year’s performance.
As for the Texans, they had an outstanding 2023 season with C.J. Stroud leading the way as a rookie, but the lack of a strong offensive line and injuries to wide receivers hampered their progress in 2024. The Texans have rebuilt their O-line, so it will be interesting to see how Stroud responds in his third season.
The biggest talking point heading into this matchup will be that of former Viking, now Seahawk quarterback Sam Darnold. Initially brought in as a backup to rookie J.J. McCarthy in Minnesota, Darnold took over the starting duties following the season-ending injury to McCarthy during the preseason and had a career resurgence under Kevin O’Connell.
On the one hand, it will be interesting to see how Darnold performs for the Seahawks and whether he can maintain his form from last season. On the other hand, it will be equally exciting to see how McCarthy performs in what will effectively be his rookie year.
At the moment, the Packers versus the Steelers will not have as much bearing as it would if Aaron Rodgers ends up signing with Pittsburgh. If that happens, this game will have added interest from both sides.
Leaving that aside, as Rodgers continues to take his time, the Steelers have bolstered their wide receiver room and now have two top-quality receivers with DK Metcalf and George Pickens, but no real threat under center. On defense, the Steelers should remain a challenging force with some big names all over the field, such as T.J. Watt, Patrick Queen, Cameron Heyward, Darius Slay Jr., Minkah Fitzpatrick, and Joey Porter Jr.
Over in Green Bay, Jordan Love will lead a wide receiver room that has added rookie Matthew Golden to the mix as their first-round selection. On defense, there are questions about Jaire Alexander and whether or not he will remain with the Packers, but otherwise, Green Bay has a pretty well-balanced roster.
