Tyreek Hill stirs up question marks surrounding his future
The Miami Dolphins have had one of the better offenses for the past couple of years, at least on paper. The Dolphins boasted a team with talented wide receivers and running backs with enough speed to run through all defenses. And while their speed and talent are still there, the one position that has not provided stellar play is under center.
Miami’s WR1 Tyreek Hill seems to be well aware of the fact that most people already know, but what is shocking is that he left his own quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, off the list when he was asked for his top 5 quarterbacks in the league during a live session with fans. Hill’s list of top-5 signal callers, in no particular order, is as below.
Playing on a team that has Tagovailoa under center and leaving him out of the list has raised quite a few eyebrows amongst the media. It seems to suggest that things are not all too well down south, especially since Hill seemed to have somewhat of a different opinion not too long ago.
Last year, Hill had a different list of quarterbacks in his top 5, and although Lamar Jackson, Mahomes, and Mayfield made that list as well, the others were Dak Prescott and, more importantly, Tagovailoa himself.

In fact, a couple of years ago, Hill had also praised Tagovailoa for the quarterback’s accuracy during the very first episode of his podcast ‘It Needed To Be Said.’ When asked who had the strongest arm between Mahomes and Tua, Hill said without hesitation that Mahomes had the strongest arm between the two, but if it’s about accuracy, then he would take Tagovailoa any day.
“Obviously, like I’m gonna go with one five (Mahomes) as the strongest arm, but as far as accuracy wise, I’m going with Tua all day.”
Then, when asked which one he would prefer, the deep ball or to have the ball hit him right on target, Hill leaned more toward the accurate passer, which in his view was Tagovailoa.
“I want it to hit me right in the bread basket just like I did in the Buffalo Bills game and take it 70 and the rest is history.”
First of all, Hill decided to leave a perfectly stable organization in Kansas City when he decided to chase more money instead of rings. In the time since the Cheetah left the Chiefs, Kansas City has been to three Super Bowls and won 2 of them, while Hill has struggled to find any playoff success in Miami.
At the end of last season, after a loss to the New York Jets in week 18, Hill said something along the lines that he was “out,” but he later retracted his words, saying it was spoken out of frustration. It is apparent that the former Super Bowl winner is not completely happy at the moment, but whether or not he remains with the Dolphins is still up for discussion.

However, this is a career change for me as previously I used to be a French to English translator. I started out in the sports media field because of two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis as well as my passion for writing. I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unites and entertains like nothing else!
