WWE has seen many champions throughout its history. The WWE Championship is the most illustrious accolade of all in business. These championships are passed on from legends to superstars. These superstars fight in different tournaments like Money in the Bank and Royal Rumble to get a title shot. These titles are a sign of the dominance a superstar has in WWE.
These titles have been transferred from legends like Undertaker to The Rock to Cody Rhodes. The Legend John Cena is retiring after 2025 but he still wants to become a 17-time World Champion having already won it 16 times in his career. This is why he would enter the 2025 Royal Rumble along with superstars like CM Punk, Seth Rollin, Roman Reigns, and Drew McIntyre.

WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes has been a sensation in WWE since returning to WWE. His feud with Roman Reigns made him cross paths with The Rock. The “Final Boss” brutalized Cody Rhodes a day before his match at WrestleMania XL. Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins lost their match against The Rock and Roman Reigns. This made the match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, a bloodline rules match.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns fought in a brutal match worthy of being the main event of WrestleMania XL. The match saw many interruptions from superstars like Seth Rollins, John Cena, Solo Sikoa, and above all Legend Deadman Undertaker himself. His chokeslam to “The People’s Champ” all but sealed the match. Cody Rhodes pinned Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion.
The American Nightmare has held the title for 285 days as of January 18, 2025. He also won the inaugural WWE Crown Jewel Championship after defeating Gunther at Crown Jewel. Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

WWE Heavyweight Champion Gunther
Gunther is a force to reckon with in WWE. The Ring General is known for his dominance since he defeated Damian Priest for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Gunther beat Damian Priest at the 2024 Summerslam after Finn Balor betrayed his Judgment Day brother Damian Priest. Gunther has successfully defended his title against superstars like Damian Priest, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton.
He has only been pinned twice since WrestleMania XL. The first at Crown Jewel by the hand of Cody Rhodes and the second by Sami Zayn at WrestleMania XL. Gunther has successfully defended his WWE Heavyweight Championship for 167 days as of January 18, 2025. He held the Intercontinental title for a record 666 days before his Heavyweight Championship. Gunther will defend his WWE Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso at Saturday Night Main Event on January 25, 2025.
WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura’s return to WWE was a nightmare for LA Knight. Nakamura attacked LA Knight twice before they met for the United States Championship at the 2024 Survivor Series: WarGames. Shinsuke Nakamura played mind games with LA Knight before the Survivor Series and it proved to be fruitful to him.
Shinsuke Nakamura defeated LA Knight in the most dominating fashion without breaking any sweat. He has held the WWE United States title for 48 Days now as of January 18, 2025.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker is a physical specimen of strength. Bron Breakker had an in-and-out relationship with the WWE Intercontinental title. He won his WWE Intercontinental title by pinning Sami Zayn but lost it to Jey Uso after holding it for 51 days. Bron Breakker defeated Jey Uso owing to an interruption from the Bloodline to regain the Intercontinental Championship.
He successfully defended his title against Ludwig Kaiser and Sheamus. His title reign is 88 days as of January 18, 2025. He will defend his title against Sheamus at Saturday Night Main Event on January 25, 2025.
Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley is a brutal force on the Women’s roster in WWE. She regained her title at the RAW’s Netflix Premiere defeating her rival Liv Morgan. Rhea’s rivalry started with Liv Morgan the moment the latter returned to WWE. Liv Morgan took her place on Judgment Day. Liv won the Women’s World Championship against Eradicator owing to help from Dominic Mysterio.
Rhea was hellbent on getting her revenge on Liv and she finally got her moment at the RAW Premiere on Netflix. She won her title back and has now held the title for 11 days as of January 18, 2025. The best thing that happened to her was “The Deadman” Undertaker himself came and congratulated her on her title win.
WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton
It’s Tiffy Time on Friday Night SmackDown since Tiffany cashed in her Money in the Bank contract against Nia Jax to become the WWE Women’s Champion. She tried to cash in her MITB briefcase many times before but was hesitant. She cashed in the opportunity when Nia had a match against Naomi.
Tiffanyt hit Naomi with the MITB briefcase followed by Prettiest Moonsault Ever to win the championship. She has held the title for 14 days as of January 18, 2025, and has successfully defended her title once against Bayley.

WWE Women United States Champion Chelsea Green
Chelsea Green won the inaugural United States Championship beating Michin with a little help from Piper Niven from outside. Piper distracted Michin which proved to be fruitful for Chelsea who took full benefit of the opportunity. Michin challenged her again for the title but distraction from Michin cost her the match again.
Chelsea has successfully held the title for 34 days as of January 18, 2025. Chelsea advanced to the tournament’s semifinal by defeating Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport. She defeated Bayley in the semifinal and Michin in the final to become the Women’s United States Champion.
WWE Women Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria became the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion defeating Dakota Kai in a hard-fought match. She has held the title for 4 days as of January 18, 2025. Lyra started the tournament by defeating Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile in a triple-threat match. She later defeated Iyo Sky to advance to Final where she met Dakota Kai. Dakota Kai was the first one to congratulate her, showing great sportsmanship.
RAW General Manager Adam Pearce presented her with the title and Triple H congratulated her later on the second episode of RAW on Netflix.
