WWE started January 2025 by going global with Netflix. The RAW’s Netflix Premiere event was a huge success amassing 4.9 million views across the world reaching an average of 2.6 million households in the U.S. alone. It is trending at 1.4 million previously. WWE only has one more big event in January 2025, Saturday Night Main Event. They will kickstart February 2025 with the Royal Rumble.
WWE superstars are announcing their participation in the 2025 Royal Rumble to fight for the grandest of prices, a title shot at Wrestlemania. Nine WWE superstars from the men’s roster have announced their participation so far. Two of them are from the SmackDown brand while the remaining seven are from the Red brand of WWE.
CM Punk defeated Seth Rollins on the Premiere event of RAW on Netflix. He was acknowledging the crowd on the very next episode of RAW when Seth Rollins interrupted him. CM Punk was telling the crowd that he would enter the Royal Rumble and Visionary’s music hit and the crowd went berserk. The “Revolutionary” Seth vowed to shatter CM Punk’s WrestleMania Main Event dream by throwing him over the rope at the Rumble.

Drew McIntyre entered the arena and interrupted both “Best in the World” CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Drew McIntyre announced his entrance to the 30-men Royal Rumble following Seth Rollins and is the seventh WWE superstar to confirm it.

The “Megastar” LA Knight was the first one to announce himself for the 2025 Royal Rumble on January 3, 2025. John Cena, CM Punk, and Jey Uso announced themself ready for the Rumble at RAW Netflix Premier on January 6, 2025. Roman Reign took the liberty of his “Wiseman” Paul Heyman to announce his availability for Royal Rumble. Paul also announced that Roman Reigns would go for “American Nightmare” Cody Rhode’s title on winning the Royal Rumble. Rey Mysterio and Sami Zayn announced their participation recently.

Nia Jax and Bayley are the only superstars from the women’s roster to announce themselves for the 2025 Women’s Royal Rumble.
