It will be a great battle between Kelsey Plum and Napheesa Collier.
Los Angeles Sparks and Minnesota Lynx would look to carry their winning momentum when they arrive at Crypto.com Arena for the WNBA showdown. Both teams won their opening games convincingly. It will also be the first home encounter for the Sparks this season.
The Sparks enter the home arena with a 84-67 victory over Golden State Valkyries on Friday. The fourth quarter surge helped them to secure the crucial win at Chase Center. Kelsey Plum dropped a 37-point performance in her season debut and Dearica Hamby added a double-double.
Los Angeles last met Minnesota in their final encounter of the 2024 season and secured a 68-51 victory. However, the Sparks finished bottom in the WNBA table with a 8-32 record.
On the other hand, Minnesota Lynx are four-time WNBA champions and they missed out fifth championship last year after losing the WNBA Finals 3-2 against the Liberty. The Lynx overcame the Dallas Wings and spoiled Paige Bueckers’ WNBA debut with a 99-84 victory in season-opener. It was a third quarter surge and Napheesa Collier’s 34-point performance which helped them to start the season on high note.
