Connecticut Sun vs. Washington Mystics Injury Report and Predicted Lineups: Major Updates on Georgia Amoore and Aaliyah Edwards Ahead of Big WNBA Showdown

Gulshan Sharma

Washington Mystics's two players have been listed out on their Sunday's injury report.

Connecticut Sun will kick off their 2025 WNBA season with a home clash against the Washington Mystics on Sunday afternoon. It will be a second matchup for the Mystics as they secured a 94-90 victory over Atlanta Dream in season opener.

The Sun made it into the WNBA semifinals last season and lost to the eventual runner-up Minnesota Lynx. In last three seasons, Connecticut finished second in the Eastern Conference and are pretty regular in the postseason. Sun starts the 2025 season with a 94-86 pre-season victory over defending champions, Liberty.

Mystics lost their both pre-season games including a 79-74 loss to Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever. They avenged the pre-season loss to Dream after winning the season opener against the same team. Five players recorded in double figures for the Mystics. Brittney Sykes was top performer with 22 points and Sonia Citron added 19.
