The Dallas Cowboys were hit with a double injury blow during their clash against the Giants.
The Dallas Cowboys suffered a huge injury blow during their Thanksgiving matchup against the New York Giants. Defensive back Josh Butler has been ruled out for the remainder of the game after sustaining a non-contact injury to his right knee in the second quarter.

The incident occurred during an incomplete pass intended for Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton. Butler went down grabbing his knee. Trainers rushed onto the field before helping him off the field and taking him directly to the locker room.
Notably, Butler’s injury wasn’t the only setback for Dallas. Earlier in the game, safety Juanyeh Thomas also exited after a painful collision while defending against New York return man Eric Gray. Tangled up on the play, Thomas struggled to stand and was eventually carted off the field.
The Cowboys were already operating with a depleted secondary entering the game. Markquese Bell was out for the season in Week 12, and star cornerback Trevon Diggs remains sidelined with injury. Now, Dallas is left with just DaRon Bland, Malik Hooker, Donovan Wilson, and Israel Mukuamu to carry the load in the defensive backfield.
