Jalen Hurts had a memorable Super Bowl LIX
Two years ago after losing in his Super Bowl debut in Super Bowl LVII, Jalen Hurts who had played one of the games of his life that day walked off the field and kept to himself for much of the time in the Philadelphia Eagles’ locker room. With several thoughts running through his mind, the most important was probably thinking about the future and how and when he would get back to the biggest game in the sport again.
Since then, the Eagles have been a consistently dominant team barring the debacle that took place in the second half of the season last year. The 2024 offseason saw some important changes being made by the Eagles during the offseason in a bid to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.
Philadelphia cruised through the season this year winning all but three of their games in the regular season after which they proceeded to dominate their playoff games as they headed to New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.
Jalen Hurts has won one Super Bowl in his young NFL career thus far. Playing in his fifth season in 2024, Hurts led the Eagles to a victory in Super Bowl LIX against the two-time defending Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jalen Hurts has been to two Super Bowls during his five-year tenure in the NFL. He first reached the big game in Super Bowl LVII where the Eagles once again played the Chiefs.
Drafted by Philadelphia in 2020, Hurts took over the starting quarterback duties from 2021. Despite reaching the postseason that year, the Eagles were bounced in the Wild Card Round, however, the experience he gained was invaluable as he would lead the team all the way to Super Bowl LVII the following season.
Unfortunately for Hurts, despite giving his best effort, Hurts was on the losing side that year as the Eagles went down fighting 38-35.
Eagles’ QB1 came out poised and set for the game of his life in Super Bowl LIX. From the very first offensive drive, Hurts was relaxed and made confident throws to his receivers. Hurts finished the game with 221 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air.
He was excellent along the ground as well picking up the necessary yards and ensuring he didn’t take sacks. As a matter of fact, he ran the ball 11 times and picked up 72 yards and a touchdown as well.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
