The Rome Masters is taking place between May 6-18.
The 2025 Internazionali BNL d’Italia, or the Italian Open, is set to be held between 6-18 May 2025 at the Foro Italico. The tournament will be played on outdoor clay courts as a 1000-event on both men’s and women’s circuits. The 2025 competition will be the 82nd edition of the Rome Masters – featuring 96 of the best singles players and 32 doubles pairings.
This year, the event is making the rounds due to the return of World No. 1 Jannik Sinner after a temporary suspension. In 1930, the first Italian tennis championship was held at the Tennis Club. The current venue, which is the Foro Italico tennis centre in Rome, contains 18 clay tennis courts out of which 9 are used for the tournament.

The reigning champion at the Italian Open in Rome is World No. 2 Alexander Zverev. However, the German will have to perform exceedingly well at the capital in order to obtain a No. 2 seeding for Roland Garros. On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek captured the 2024 championship. She defeated current World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets to win the title.
