Gunther was not prepared for the new Jey Uso and lost his match and the World Heavyweight Championship. What was more insulting was that he tapped out to his own sleeper hold move. He was being targeted, and the commentators bashed him left, right, and center. Gunther was silent for WrestleMania Day 1 and Day 2.

Gunther could not stop himself from coming out to confront everyone when the crowd and commentators chanted, “He tapped out.” He confronts Michael Cole and asks him whatever he wants to say; he should say it to his face. He crossed a line and threw the microphone off his head, and pushed Pat McAfee. Gunther tried to intimidate Michael Cole, and this is when chaos erupted on Monday Night Raw.

Gunther attacks Pat McAfee, puts him in a Sleeper hold

Gunther was a man possessed, and it only made it worse when Michael Cole stated, “I am not the one who tapped out”. The commentators celebrating Jey Uso didn’t help either. Gunther attacked Michael Cole and tried to put him in a Sleeper Hold. Pat McAfee came to his partner’s aid and landed a punch on Gunther’s face. This only increased the intensity of his aggression as he put Pat McAfee in a sleeper hold.

Gunther didn’t let go even when multiple officials asked him to do so. They even forced him to break the hold, but he didn’t. Some fans jumped the ring barricade to stop, but they were stopped from interrupting. Pat McAfee was choked so hard that his face turned all red. The officials forced Gunther to leave the arena among the crowd boos. Pat McAfee was taken out to get the required medical attention as he was not able to breathe.

Michael Cole was with him, and he asked Adam Pearce, How do they do their jobs and share their opinion if someone bullies them like this. Adam Pearce responded that he will look into it, and asked Michael Cole to take a day off, and Joe Tessitore will commentate in his place. Michael Cole refused to take a day off, stating it’s his job and he would do it no matter what. He took his seat back with huge appreciation from the crowd.

WWE is currently monitoring Pat McAfee, and although he was able to walk and seems normal after some time, he is kept under medical supervision.
