Everton are reportedly exploring a move for Gabriel Jesus, with the Arsenal forward emerging as a surprise target ahead of the January transfer window. The Toffees are weighing up a potential swoop for the Brazilian, who has slipped down the pecking order at the Emirates after a string of injuries. With just seven goals in eight Premier League matches this season, Everton see Jesus as a possible solution to their long-standing attacking woes.
The move, however, would come with significant financial considerations. Jesus remains on a sizeable wage packet. While his pedigree as a four-time Premier League winner makes him an attractive prospect, Everton’s financial constraints could make negotiations tricky. Still, for a club seeking attacking spark, signing Jesus could represent a statement of intent.
When Gabriel Jesus arrived at Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022, he was seen as the final piece in Mikel Arteta’s attacking puzzle. But three years later, his Arsenal chapter seems to be nearing an unexpected end. According to TeamTalk, Arsenal are open to selling Jesus for around £30 million. That amount is nearly £15 million less than what they paid in 2022.
🚨 Arsenal would accept an offer of around £30M for striker Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian’s time in North London has been hampered by inconsistency and injuries. In 96 appearances, he’s managed 26 goals and 20 assists. Arteta’s tactical evolution has also left Jesus behind. The manager’s growing faith in Kai Havertz as a false nine and the arrival of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP this season point to a clear shift. To make matters worse, Jesus is still recovering from an ACL injury suffered against Manchester United last January. Though back in light training, he’s not expected to feature competitively anytime soon.
Amid this uncertainty, Everton have emerged as a possible suitor. The Toffees are exploring a move, seeing Jesus as a potential solution to their ongoing attacking struggles. However, Jesus’s hefty wages could make the deal difficult, even if the £30 million price tag is within reach.

Jesus, under contract at Arsenal until 2027, could be allowed to leave as early as January. Notably, Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be open to offers. A switch to Everton would give the 28-year-old a chance to relaunch his career in a lower-pressure environment.
