Know More about the race results from the Canadian Grand Prix!
The Canadian Grand Prix finally came to an end in Formula 1. After 70 laps of racing, we have finally have the results from the much awaited race. The race was a shocker for most of the fans. There was no aggressive action between the drivers in Turn-1. A late race safety car calmed down the action and the race finished under safety car.
George Russell drove his Mercedes from pole position to victory after a successful race. The two McLarens finally had their collision, although their drivers were mature about it. The Canadian GP wasn’t as easy for some of the other drivers. In total, the race brought in a lot of different action throughout the two hours of running. The cold temperatures at Canada paired with tyre graining also ended being a strategic nightmare for the teams. Let’s have a look at the results from the race.
The top-10 finishers from the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve are as follows-

George Russell drove a fantastic race today claim the victory for himself and his team. The Silver Arrows had a good start and held on to his lead throughout the race. Max Verstappen did not end up causing a collision as fans were expecting and stayed in second. He did build the pressure on Russell many times during the race. However, the Dutchman had to answer to Mercedes’s better pace. At the race start, Kimi Antonelli made a slick pass of Piastri. He ended up on third place provisionally before driving at his absolute best and claiming the podium.
Oscar Piastri did not have a good race today. He was lagging behind the front runners after he got overtaken by Kimi Antonelli. Piastri and his teammate got themselves in a fight for position. Unfortunately, Lando made a last second mistake causing himself a DNF. Charles Leclerc could not a lot in the race. His teammate was once again dejected at their position. The two Ferraris slotted in at 5th and 6th respectively.

Tbe rest of the top-10 was a superb drive from teh midfield cars. Fernando Alonso kept his form from the Spanish GP and drove in seventh place. He was joined by Nico Hulkenberg in eighth and Esteban Ocon in ninth. Sainz was the last driver in the top-10 gaining 6 places throughout the race after starting from back.
It was heartbreak for Alex Albon and Liam Lawson. Albon has had his second DNF due to mechanical issues. He was having a bad race already after losing out during the start, but he couldn’t do anything to salvage it. Yuki Tsunoda narrowly missed out at points after starting P20 once again.

There wasn’t a lot of improvement among the backmarkers during the Canadian Grand Prix. Franco Colapinto, Oliver Bearman could not put their cars ahead of the other drivers. It was heartbreak for Isack Hadjar who ended his streak of points finishes.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
