Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn: McIntyre conquers an Injured Sami Zayn

An injured Sami Zayn lost to Drew again and was manhandled along with Jey by the Bloodline 2.0.

Drew McIntyre and Sami Zayn are at each other’s throats since Drew launched a sneak attack on Sami after he finished his match against Seth Rollins. Sami Zayn went to war against Drew McIntyre at the Saturday Night Main Event and ended up losing the match. Drew seems to have Sami’s number as his record against Sami goes 10-0. Sami is yet to register a win against his nemesis.

The storyline between the two just seems to be intensifying. Sami’s never-go-down attitude against Drew’s brutality riles up the fans who can’t get enough of both superstars. Drew was blaming the WWE universe when Sami Zayn interrupted his promo. Both threw verbal spats at each other.

Sami told the Scottish Warrior that what he and the Usos did at Survivor Series: WarGames has nothing to do with him. Everybody has their struggle but one can’t go out pointing fingers at the other. Drew asked Sami to leave the ring as the latter was not fully healthy. He asked Sami to be with his family and recover.

The verbal spat seemed to rile up the superstars and they started the brawl. Drew was dominating injured Sami when Jey Uso entered to save Sami and both threw Drew out of the ring.

What happened during the match?

Drew has dominated Sami Zayn in one-on-one matches. He has won all the 10 games they both were part of. He showed his dominance today as well and launched a brutal assault on already injured Sami. Sami like always refused to stay down and it took every ounce of Drew’s efforts to get the better of Sami finally.

Both superstars have been part of 10 matches and know each other so well that they know how to counter each other’s moves. Drew delivered a Glasgow Kiss to Sami and set up for a claymore. Sami countered it with a clothesline. Sami delivered an exploder suplex to Drew on the turnbuckle. He tried to run for Helluva kick but his back gave up.

A slight delay while trying for the Helluva kick was enough for Drew to deliver a claymore. He pinned Sami and won the match. Drew launched a vicious attack on Sami after the win. Jey Uso entered the ring to make a save and delivered a spear to Drew.

Jey was thrown off balance by Bloodline 2.0 from the third rope while trying to deliver a Uso splash to Drew. Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu, and Solo launched an attack on Jey Uso and Sami thus continuing their feud with Bloodline.
