Dana White is all set to try his hand with promoting boxing matches. Best known as the CEO of the UFC, he will make his debut in a different combat sport in September 2025.

Dana White Has Been Chosen As the Promoter for Canelo Alvarez vs Terrence Crawford

Canelo Alvarez has been crowned as the unified Super-Middleweight Champion by defeating William Scull in Riyadh on May 3, 2025. However, his next fight has already been decided. He is all set to face off against Terrence Crawford at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on September 12, 2025. He even had a face-off against Terrence Crawford, following his win. Turki Alalshikh confirmed the fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terrence Crawford (via his official X account). This is where Dana White comes in. 

Dana White will be the promoter of this fight along with Turki Alalshikh. They will also be announcing the TV platforms for the event very soon as per Turki Alalshikh’s post on X. This news was also confirmed by MMA Pros Pick on their official Instagram post. Notably, Canelo Alvarez will be defending his Ring Magazine Championship against Terrence Crawford. The event will also witness the launch of TKO Boxing as per Bloody Elbow

How Was Canelo Alvarez’s Last Boxing Match?

Canelo Alvarez’s last opponent was William Scull In Riyadh on May 3, 2025. Alvarez defended the WBC, WBA and WBO titles in this fight. Unfortunately, he was not able to land significant hits on William Scull, who was the more mobile amongst the two.

However, Canelo Alvarez still won the fight with a score of 115-113, 116-112 and 119-109 against William Scull as per reports. He also became the unified Super-Middleweight Champion.
