Clash in Paris: Sheamus Tapped Out For the Second Time in His Career, Loses to Rusev

Ashish Negi

Sheamus tapped out for the second time in his career. What’s shocking is that he tapped out both times against Rusev to the Accolade. Rusev claimed the victory over Sheamus and now dominates the score 2-1 against the latter ever since he returned to WWE.

Both these men crossed all limits of brutality during their match and kicked out of many finishers. Rusev was the first to use the Kendostick. Chair, tables, Shillelagh, and anything that could be used to hurt the other were used. Rusev hit Sheamus with a Shillelagh stick, and the stick broke in two. He then used the on half of the Shillelagh stick to lock in the Accolade on Sheamus and register a win via Submission.

Two Beasts in the Match to Hurt One Another in Any Possible Way

The brutality of the match could easily be seen on the bare bodies of Sheamus and Rusev. Sheamus performed Beats of the Bodhrán on Rusev thrice and then sent Rusev through the table using a White Noise. He then delivered a Razor’s Edge and followed it up with a brutal Brogue Kick to Rusev, which has sealed the deal numerous times for him, but not this time. Rusev was able to kick out of the pin attempt.

Rusev then increased the intensity of his attack and forced Sheamus to tap out. Rusev and Sheamus have now fought in three matches since Rusev returned to WWE. Rusev won the first match, while Sheamus won the second. Rusev won the third match tonight to tilt the score in his favor. He has had the upper hand on Sheamus in the overall scores as well. Sheamus has only registered one win against Rusev.

Rusev once again asserts his dominance over Sheamus in the overall results. No matter who won the match but the crowd received their money’s worth as the arena was filled with “This is awesome” chants during the entire match.
