Key Injuries, Predicted Lineups & Match Preview for the Crucial Premier League Match on April 13.
Chelsea are looking to strengthen a top-five finish as they host relegation-threatened Ipswich Town at home on Sunday. The Blues are approaching this game on the back of a convincing 3-0 win over Legia Warsaw in the Conference League.
They will be looking to build on this win in the Premier League. With just seven Premier League matches are left, Enzo Maresca’s men are sitting in sixth in the league table. They are one point behind Aston Villa in fifth and two behind Manchester City in fourth having played one game fewer.

On the other hand, seems like Ipswich Town’s Premier League campaign is nearing its end. They are approaching this match on the back of a 1-2 defeat against Wolves last weekend. With that loss, they are now 12 points adrift of safety and are on the brink of relegation. Even so, Ipswich have shown resilience on the road.
They have won three of their four league matches away from home. However, a visit to the Stamford Bridge certainly presents a formidable challenge for the visitors. Added to these, both teams dealing with key injuries, the crucial Premier League match becomes more interesting.
Cope Palmer has been key for Chelsea this season. Hence, when he was substituted early in Poland, it was concerning. However, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca reassured supporters that it was purely tactical and not injury-related at all. Hence, the forward is expected to start against Ipswich. However, the Blues are still operating without Marc Guiu.
Guiu along with Romeo Lavia remain sidelined respectively with a hamstring issue and an ongoing physical discomfort. With Palmer locked into the lineup, competition for the remaining attacking positions continues between Christopher Nkunku, Jadon Sancho, and Noni Madueke.

Conor Townsend was seen limping off during the closing stages of the defeat to Wolves. Hence, Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna will likely need to reshuffle his backline because of the injury. Leif Davis should be brought in to step into the left-back role for Sunday’s encounter.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged. Liam Delap is expected to lead the line after scoring last weekend. Even with their tough position in the table, Ipswich will be hoping to replicate their better away form this term. as they face high-flying Chelsea in the capital.
