Barbora Krejcikova vs. Caroline Dolehide Head-to-Head, Prediction and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 Round-2

Sankalp Harikrishnan

Second career meeting between the two players.

Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova resumes her pursuit for another crown at SW19, as she takes on Caroline Dolehide of the USA in the 2025 Wimbledon Championships second round on Thursday. While the No. 17 seed pipped Filipino sensation Alexandra Eala in Round-1, Dolehide beat Arantxa Rus of the Netherlands. The winner of this encounter will face either Emma Navarro or Veronika Kudermetova in the Round of 32.

Playing just her fifth tournament of the year, Barbora Krejcikova burst into her old form after dropping the opening set vs Eala. The World No. 16 is one of the few players to win the singles and doubles championships at Wimbledon. She has a 4-3 record in 2025, as well as a 9-2 ratio on grass over the past year. Krejcikova reached the QF stage at Eastbourne last week, but withdrew. The 12-time Grand Slam champion (including singles and doubles) starts this match as the favourite.

On the other hand, Caroline Dolehide secured her first main draw win since the French Open on Tuesday. The American is yet to win a singles trophy in her career – entering this clash with a record of 15-14 on the pro tour. Apart from excelling on the doubles circuit, a last eight women’s singles finish at Austin happens to be the 26-year-old’s best outing in 2025. Currently ranked No. 67 in the world, Dolehide will need to better her 19.4% break point conversion rate to win on Thursday.

Barbora Krejcikova vs Caroline Dolehide Head to Head Record

Barbora Krejcikova leads the head-to-head against Caroline Dolehide by 1-0. Their one and only meeting was in the final of Pelham in 2019, where the former Roland Garros champion won in straight sets. Despite Dolehide being the second seed, her Czech counterpart seized control and began her immense rise on the red dirt.

Barbora Krejcikova vs Caroline Dolehide Wimbledon 2025 Prediction

Owing to their doubles prowess, both players have a potent skillset whilst approaching the net. However, Krejcikova has the all-round game to give her more opportunities to move forward and attack. The former World No. 2 adopted an aggressive tactic after falling behind against Eala, and called the shots. While Dolehide looked assured in her opener, she could struggle with the angles of Krejcikova.

Prediction: Barbora Krejcikova in straight sets.
