Tommy Paul vs. Sebastian Ofner Head-to-Head Record, Prediction and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 Round-2

Sankalp Harikrishnan

Winner to face Moutet or Dimitrov in R3.

American title hope Tommy Paul will look to navigate his way into the Round of 32 despite the great fall of top seeds at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships. He is set to face Sebastian Ofner of Austria in the second round on Thursday. It will be the second career meeting between the two players – continue reading to find out everything you need to know about their rivalry.

Tommy Paul beat British young gun Johannus Monday 6-4 6-4 6-2 in Round-1 on Tuesday. The 28-year-old American came into Wimbledon on the back of a disheartening opening match loss at Eastbourne. However, the No. 13 seed has tasted success on grass in the past – and has the style of play to master the surface. A quarterfinalist at SW19 last year, Paul will be gunning for glory this time around. He comes into this match with a 26-10 record in 2025.

Sebastian Ofner is competing in the Round of 64 at Wimbledon for just the second time in his career. He reached Round-3 in 2017, but fell in the opening round over the past two seasons. The 29-year-old advanced after Hamad Medjedovic retired midway – thus confirming a clash against Paul for the former Top-40 player. Unfortunately, Ofner has more losses than wins on the professional circuit, and will look forward to the second half of the season to turn things around.

Tommy Paul vs Sebastian Ofner Head to Head Record

Tommy Paul leads the head-to-head against Sebastian Ofner by 1-0. He won their sole encounter in straight sets, back in 2023.

Paul and Ofner collided in the Shanghai Rolex Masters Round of 64 two years ago. The American dominated his Austrian counterpart from the very first point. After securing the opening set with fiery groundstrokes on both wings, he bageled Ofner in Set-2 to emerge victorious in just 71 minutes.

Tommy Paul vs Sebastian Ofner Wimbledon 2025 Prediction

While Paul managed 64% first serve in, he won 87% points on first serve during his opening round. The American has an underrated ability to hold serve under pressure situations, and emerges victorious more often than not in baseline duels. While Ofner has a strong service rhythm himself, he occasionally complicates matters for himself by  failing to follow up and cut points short.

Prediction: Tommy Paul in straight sets.
