It will be a rematch of the 2023 US Open Final!
Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff will battle out in the 2025 Roland Garros women’s singles’ final on Saturday. For the first time since 1984, both the men’s and women’s singles finals will feature both the world No. 1 and world No. 2. Sabalenka knocked out the four-time Roland Garros champion, Iga Swiatek, while Coco Gauff defeated Lois Boisson in straight sets to reach the finals. It should be a blockbuster clash between the current No. 1 and No. 2 in the WTA rankings.
Aryna Sabalenka is having a career-best season with 7th final of the year and the Belarusian ace advanced to the Roland Garros final after beating Iga Swiatek in straight sets. Sabalenka eliminated the four-time Roland Garros champion, who was on a 26-match winning streak on the Persian clay. It will be the first French Open final for Sabalenka and the third straight Grand Slam final. She has won her previous two Grand Slam final, including the 2025 Australian Open and the 2025 US Open.

Sabalenka won three titles this year and has the most number of victories this year by a player this year. The world No. 1 will be appearing in her 14th final since 2024 and won seven titles during the process. She has played five Grand Slam finals since 2024 Australian Open and won three titles. However, she has struggled in the clay-court finals with a 3–7 record. She lost all six clay-court finals outside Madrid.
Coco Gauff, the world No. 2 thrashed her French opponent in the semifinals and will take on arch-rivals Sabalenka in pursuit of her second Grand Slam. The American ace was the runner-up in the 2022 Roland Garros and lost to Swiatek in the final. It will be her third consecutive appearance in the finals after the WTA 1000 finals in Madrid and Rome.

Gauff has been a consistent player at the Roland Garros and made into the quarterfinals in last four seasons. She has a experience of playing against Sabalenka in the final as both met in the 2023’s US Open final where Gauff had the last laugh. Coco is the youngest woman to reach Madrid, Rome, and French Open finals in a single season. She lost previous two finals and this time, she wants to break the jinx and repeat the heroics of the US Open 2023.
Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff have a toughest rivalry in tennis with five wins each in ten meetings. The American ace has troubled the world No. 1 in big games like finals. Both players will meet for the second time in a Grand Slam final as Coco Gauff won her first Slam title after beating Sabalenka in the 2023 US Open final.
Both are 1-1 in the Grand Slam as the Belarusian ace defeated Gauff in the 2024 Australian Open semifinals. Both locked horns in the Madrid Open final when Sabalenka saved set point and won 6–3, 7–6.

Aryna Sabalenka has mastered all the clay court and her latest example was a straight-set victory over Iga Swiatek, who was a four-time Roland Garros champion and was on a 26-match winning streak. The Belarusian is on her peak form and she has improved her clay court performance over the last 12 months. Making into her first Roland Garros final, Sabalenka looks an ideal player to lift the trophy.
Coco Gauff can bring her versatility into the game as she faced tougher opponents in the competition. She beat Bouzkova in tie-break, dropped a classic comeback against Keys in quarterfinals and routed Boisson in the semifinals. If Gauff extends this game to final set, it could be a heartbreak for Sabalenka who lost seven clay-court finals out of 10.
Prediction: Sabalenka to win in three sets.
Aryna Sabalenka is going top lift the French Open trophy for the first time, as per BetMGM odds. The world No. 1 is the -220 favorite odds, while Gauff is the +172 underdog. Sabalenka should win this game in final set but Gauff has a 55% chance to take the opening set.
