Max Verstappen won the Imola GP to gove Red Bull Racing a special gift in their 400th F1 race.
Red Bull Racing had been a part of the F1 paddock since 2005. The team was originally not taken seriously by its competitors. As a team owned by an energy drink company, Red Bull Racing was an outcast on the grid. The team has been a host to many legendary drivers of Formula 1. Red Bull is among the top teams of the grid in 2025.
The team has it’s headquarters in Milton Keynes although it’s origin is from Austria. Red Bull has won eight driver’s championships and six constructor’s championships. Red Bull Racing is operated by Christian Horner in Formula 1. He is the CEO and team principal of its F1 operations. Red Bull owns two teams in F1. The main team, Red Bull and the sister team, Racing Bulls. The sister team serves as proving grounds for its younger drivers to help them gain experience in F1.

Red Bull has produced two F1 champions, Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel who have won 4 championships each. The Bulls were easily the best team in Formula 1 for the past years. They are going through a tough phase since the 2024 season in F1.
Max Verstappen was starting the Imola GP from second place on the grid. However, a beat overtake on Oscar Piastri gave him the lead of the race from the first lap itself. Verstappen was able to maintain a healthy gap between himself and the McLarens for the rest of the race.
Two timely safety cars, ensured that Max Verstappen was able to change his tires without losing the lead of the race. He was able to claim the best results out of the Imola Grand Prix after disappointments in the past few races. Verstappen now has two victories in the 2025 F1 season.
Win. Win. Win. Win.

Max Verstappen’s latest victory came in the race when Red Bull were celebrating their 400th F1 race. The cherry on the top was the newest record that Red Bull Racing made in F1. They now have 124 Formula 1 victories as a team. With this, Red Bull Racing has officially surpassed the win tally of Scuderia Ferrari in Formula 1. Red Bull is the team with the most victories in the 21st century of Formula 1.
Red Bull Racing’s new accomplishment can be attributed to their dominant run for the past few years. Max Verstappen used the expertise of Adrian Newey to drive his Red Bull better than anyone else. The car’s better aerodynamics helped the team create a gap no other car could surpass. This helped Max Verstappen win races without breaking a sweat for the past three years. Red Bull may have lost the advantage in 2024 but they are still contending for the driver’s championship in 2025.
Max Verstappen is arguably the best Red Bull driver in their history. But, here are some other drivers who have contributed to Red Bull Racing’s F1 success.
| Driver | Wins |
| Max Verstappen | 65 ( as of May 2025 ) |
| Sebastian Vettel | 38 |
| Mark Webber | 9 |
| Daniel Ricciardo | 7 |
| Sergio Perez | 5 |
Red Bull is currently fourth overall in the list of teams with most victories in the history of F1 Racing.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
