Will the Scuderia Ferrari cars bring it another disappointing result from Imola?
The Imola GP will be starting soon but it won’t bring any good news for Ferrari. Just ahead of the race weekend, Hamilton was talking about Ferrari’s braking issues. It looks like the “lottery” was not in favor of the Prancing Horses this time. The results during the qualifying session left the Tifosis in disappointment.
Ferrari is being teams led by Williams, Alpine, Aston Martin. These teams were struggling for speed since the start of the season. Especially Aston Martin, who have been scarce on points for six races.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will start the race today from 11th and 12th on the grid. They were knocked out of qualifying by the Aston Martins which were surprising fast on the medium tyres. This puts both Ferraris nearly out of contention for a podium in front of their home crowd at Imola. The Rosso Corsa outfit will have to scourge for points.
Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton could not do anything on Saturday to help their case. They simply did not have the pace to compete at front. Hamilton was talking about he needs to remind himself about his achievements these days. The very next day he was met with slow speeds in a track he has won at.

Charles Leclerc has been Ferrari’s lead out driver for the past six races. He recovered enough to race this weekend. However, even Leclerc could not drive well enough to put his car in a better position this weekend. He was particularly not impressed about disappointing the Tifosi. Leclerc has been with Ferrari since 2019. He knows the value of Imola GP in the team and fans’ hearts.

The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix is already among the difficult races of the calendar. A track like Imola favors grid position more than anything. It is extremely unlikely for a driver to complete a flurry of over takes on race day.
The Imola Circuit is also unforgiving towards mistakes. A slight error can send your car flying into the barrier. Yuki Tsunoda’s scary crash during Qualifying session on Saturday was an example of the same. Considering the dangers at Imola, drivers will not want to go too aggressive. This makes the chances of a Ferrari in the top-5 even worse.
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
