Williams F1 Claim Their Best Season Start in Nine Years!

Rohan Singh

Here's how Williams F1 changed their entire story in 2025!

Williams F1, if you had mentioned this name a year ago, the second worst team of the grid would pop up. They were a team that could not even earn 20 points in the 2024 F1 championship. A team that heavily relied on one-off miracle finishes from Alex Albon in order to stay competitive in the midfield. A team, that was terrorised by crashes and had to take disruptive measures because of their low budget.

Williams F1 had to face the disgrace of not allowing one of their drivers to compete in one weekend. Alex Albon was allowed to use Logan Sargeant’s car for one race as the team could not rebuild his car after a huge crash. In the final stage of the championship, Williams had to let go of Logan Sargeant in favor of Franco Colapinto. His arrival brought a little bit of hope for the team with few points finishes.

But, Williams also made headlines because of their newest driver signing for 2025. They managed to secure the services of Carlos Sainz Jr. for the upcoming season. Fast forward to 2025, Williams are now the fifth fastest team on the grid. Both of their drivers have managed to secure points finishes in the 2025 season. The season has only finished five races yet. However, Williams is set to content consistently in the middle-pack of 2025 F1 season.

Williams F1 Start a New Era in the 2025 F1 Season

The duo of Carbono- Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, brought Williams a double points finish last weekend. The race was maginificent to watch as Williams utilised both of their drivers effectively to not lose points. Carlos Sainz’s DRS tow for Alex Albon was the defining moment of the race. With that, William F1 have now secured 25 points in the 2025 F1 championship.

The 2025 season is the team’s best start in a F1 championship since 2016. As a team, Williams still have a long way to go before reaching world championship potential. In the past, Williams was a formidable team which slowly lost its performance and fervor.

Williams had a shaky start to the season in 2025 still. Albon was carrying the team until the last two races. Now, their driver in spotlight- Carlos Sainz has gotten up to speed. He is ready to contribute to the team, on an equal or better basis than Alex Albon in the upcoming races. The car has a lot of speed among the midfield competitors. Williams F1 is set to turn the tables on their poor history and regain the respect of F1 paddock.
