The main draw of the Monte Carlo Masters begins on April 6.
The 2025 clay court has officially arrived, and things escalate very soon with the first Masters-1000 event of the month. The Rolex Monte Carlo Masters begins its main draw on April 6th, and runs through to April 13th when the finals will be played. The ATP’s 56 top stars will battle it out for the coveted trophy that is currently held by three-time champion Stefanos Tsitsipas.
The Monte Carlo Masters has its origins back in the 19th century, when it was founded in 1896. The tournament celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006, and is known to be one of the most highly anticipated European tennis competitions across the year. Rafael Nadal is the most successful player at this event – he won the Monte Carlo title on 11 occasions, including eight straight trophies between 2005 and 2012.
