The Kings have been up-and-down
The Kings enter the contest after a five-point win against the Houston Rockets as DeMar DeRozan poured in 33 points. They have now won eight out of their last nine games, which has helped them overcome a six-game losing streak. However, the Kings’ defense hasn’t been promising, espescially from deep as they allow 14.5 threes per game(3rd worst). At the same time, their current surge suggests that they have found rhythm on the offensive end at least which has been possible due to the loaded guard lineup of DeRozan, Malik Monk, and De’Aaron Fox.
The Wizards are the punching bag
The Wizards come into this game after a seven-point loss against the Phoenix Suns despite a 24-point performance by Kyshawn George. They have lost eight in a row, and have already undergone a 16-game losing streak. However, winning was never the priority for the management as they are hoping to land a high pick in the 2025 Draft(preferably Cooper Flagg). As of now, they will pin their hopes on Jordan Poole to become more consistent and support them in the long run or at least become a viable trade asset.

The Kings are firm favorites here. The only question is by how many points will they defeat the Wizs. While the script can be flipped many times in the NBA, the Kings should get a comfortable 16+ points win here. Jordan Poole may be able to break the 25-point barrier after a lengthy spell, while DeMar DeRozan can have another 25+ points outing.

nba Hi, I am Shubham. I am currently an NBA Predictions Writer on The Playoffs. I enjoy this job because it helps keep me in the loop about the game I love while fulfilling the pleasure I derive from stats. I got into NBA writing through social media interactions in the mid-2010s as I shared my takes on young talents such as D’Angelo Russell. I hope you enjoy reading my pieces as much as Dennis Rodman loved rebounding the basketball!
