WWE SmackDown Result: LA Knight and Santos Escobar locked horn to qualify for the #1 contendership for the US Championship

Three superstars to battle in a triple-threat to become the #1 contender for the United States Championship.

WWE Elimination Chamber would be the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania. The matches will decide the course of WrestleMania. Four matches have been announced so far, which include a Men’s and a Women’s Chamber match. We also have an unsanctioned unofficial match between Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens. The star-studded event will feature a tag team match between Trish Stratus and Tiffany vs Nia and Candic LeRae.

WWE planned three matches to decide the superstars to fight for the United States Championship contendership. Six superstars fought to qualify for the #1 contendership match. Jacob Fatu defeated Andrade in the first match. The two other matches scheduled were Santos Escobar vs. LA Knight and Braun Strowman vs. Carmelo Hayes.

LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar to qualify for the #1 contendership match for the US title

LA Knight defeated Santos Escobar in a hard-fought match and became the second #1 contender qualifier for the United States Championship. The match between LA Knight and Santos Escobar was dominated by the latter. His gravity-defying moves kept the crowd on the edge of their seats. He never gave an inch to LA Knight, and it seemed that Escobar has done great homework on him.

Escobar kept LA Knight to the brim, not allowing him to get away with the match. Everything went south for him when he claimed the third rope to end the match, but LA Knight delivered a BFT to him instead. He pinned Santos Escobar and won the match. He joined Jacob Fatu to become the second member of the triple threat match for becoming the #1 contender for the US title.
