WWE Royal Rumble 2025: The Winner Of 2006 Edition Announces Participation for Royal Rumble!

Rey Mysterio to honor his friend Eddie Guerrero by participating in the Royal Rumble one last time.

WWE will begin the new month with the 30-Men Royal Rumble. It is scheduled for February 01, 2025. Legends like John Cena, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre are amongst the nine superstars who have announced their participation in the Rumble. We expect the remaining 21 superstars to announce their attendance in the upcoming episodes of Raw and SmackDown.

LA Knight was the first to announce his participation on January 3, 2025. John Cena, CM Punk, and Jey Uso were next to announce their participation at RAW’s Netflix Premiere. The OTC Roman Reigns announced his participation on January 10, 2025, followed by Seth Freakin Rollins and Drew McIntyre on January 13, 2025. Sami Zayn added his name to the tally on January 20, 2025.

Nia Jax and Bayley are the only Female superstars to announce their participation in the Royal Rumble. Cody Rhodes won the last two Royal Rumble in 2023 and 2024.

Former WWE Champion and 2006 Royal Rumble winner ready to participate in Royal Rumble

WWE Hall of Famer and one of the most respected superstars in the locker room, Rey Mysterio became the eighth superstar to announce himself for Rumble. Rey Mysterio announced his participation during the Friday Night Smackdown promo on January 17, 2025. Rey Mysterio won the Royal Rumble in 2006.

Rey Mysterio was interrupted by Kevin Owens post he announced his entrance and they had an altercation. It resulted in a match between them scheduled later. Rey Mysterio lost the match and Kevin Owens set to perform a Piler driver on him. Cody Rhodes entered the ring and saved Rey Mysterio.

Royal Rumble will also hold a ladder match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. The contract signing of which would be moderated by HBK Shawn Michaels at Saturday Night Main Event.
