WWE MITB: Dominic Mysterio Puts His Title on the Line Against AAA’s Octagon Jr.

Money in the Bank season is on us, where four matches were announced to take place at the Intuit Dome. A fifth match was added to it in the post-match of WWE Worlds Collide. Dominic Mysterio challenged Octagon Jr. for a match at MITB.

Octagon Jr won his match at WWE Worlds Collide, but one guy had a problem with it. Yes, Dirty Dominic Mysterio insulted Octagon Jr. because of his love for Dom’s father, and a living legend, Rey Mysterio. Octagon Jr. pulled him over the barricade, and the two started to brawl. Dominic Mysterio challenged Octagon Jr. for a match at Money in the Bank and put his title on the line for the match.

It is official.

Dominic Mysterio Defends his WWE Intercontinental Title at MITB

Octagon Jr. showcased his Lucha Libre caliber and dominated Dominic Mysterio till he tried for a high-risk maneuver, and the latter pushed him. Octagon Jr. loses his balance and falls with one leg on each side. Dominic Mysterio started getting a firm hold on the match, but Octagon Jr countered his way back into the match. Dominic Mysterio tried a 619, but Octagon Jr. moved out of the harm’s way.

The crowd witnessed numerous high-risk maneuvers from Octagon Jr. He would have won the match and the championship if it weren’t for Liv Morgan’s interruption. Octagon Jr. climbed the third rope for a high-risk maneuver when Liv Morgan climbed on climbed up the apron to distract him. This gave Dominic Mysterio the opportunity to push him and make him lose his balance.

Dominic Mysterio delivered a 619 to Octagon Jr., followed by a Frog Splash on Octagon Jr, and won the match.
