John Cena Has Been Stealing Ideas From Stephanie McMahon For His Heel Run

He was the face of WWE for 20 years, building an empire based on hustle, loyalty, and respect. He was the most respected WWE superstar who was on the verge of his retirement, but never stooped to immorality for two decades.

But Harvey Dent once said, You either die a Hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain. The history of WWE was tainted at the Elimination Chamber 2025. John Cena won the Chamber to make the entire world happy, but the happiness lasted few moments. He turned heel on Cody Rhodes and joined The Rock. He defeated Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania to become the 17th time World Champion.

John Cena Thanked Stephanie McMahon For Heel Tips

John Cena had a special message for Stephanie McMahon when he visited as a guest at series, Stephanie’s Places on May 28, 2025. Stephanie and John Cena remembered the 20 incredible years of the latter’s career. John Cena gave Stephanie McMahon a tour of his personal gym and told her how he stays at the top of his game at this stage of his career.

John Cena, in his special message, stated, ” Can I just say I had some really good people to learn from, and you are in a very short list of names that fall into, I flat out steal a lot from you so thanks for helping me through this.” He stated that his heel persona is a replica of numerous people, one of whom is Stephanie McMahon. John Cena also commented on why he chose to turn heel at the end of his career.

John Cena acknowledged that his body has limitations due to his age, and he cannot continue to perform regularly in the ring. With a limited number of dates during his retirement year, he did what he could do best. John Cena will say goodbye to his in-ring career in December. After participating in his last Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania, he will now take part in his final Money in the Bank.
