WWE Backlash 2025 – WWE United States Championship Fatal Four-Way Match Prediction

Ashish Negi

Jacob Fatu all set to defend his title for the first time at Backlash.

The man who tamed the monster, Jacob Fatu, won the WWE United States Championship at WrestleMania after defeating LA Knight. He qualified for the WrestleMania title match by defeating Braun Strowman in a Last Man Standing Match; the match Monster Among Men had never lost until then. Jacob Fatu’s victory at WrestleMania 41 earned him his first title in WWE.

Jacob Fatu has yet to defend his title for the first time, and when LA Knight demands a rematch, he is interrupted by Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre and LA Knight insulted each other verbally, which gave birth to the infamous mock, “I would say your last title run was a joke, but I can’t remember it,” referencing Drew McIntyre’s 5-minute title run. Both were scheduled to face each other later that day, with the winner going on to challenge Jacob Fatu for the US Title.

Two interruptions made the United States Championship match at Backlash, a Fatal Four-Way match

Drew McIntyre and LA Knight fought hard and didn’t give each other an inch until Solo Sikoa’s interruption. Solo Sikoa delivered a Samoan Spike to LA Knight, which the referee didn’t see, and served him to Drew McIntyre to be Claymored. The match would have ended then their but Drew McIntyre’s mocking of Damian Priest earlier in the day cost him big. Damian Priest assaulted  Drew McIntyre and sent him through the announcer’s table with a South of Heaven.

Drew McIntyre won the match via disqualification, but it started a dispute between Damian Priest and LA Knight, and the latter blamed Damian Priest for losing the title opportunity. Jacob Fatu attacked both before they could lay hands on each other. LA Knight and Damian Priest stated SmackDown on May 02, 2025, which is when the second interruption happened from Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa, and yet another match ended in disqualification.

This irritated Nick Aldis, who asked Jacob Fatu about the interruption and announced that he would defend his title against LA Knight and Damian Priest. Solo Sikoa reminded him that Drew McIntyre won the #1 contendership match against LA Knight. Nick took the opportunity and announced that it would be a Fatal Four Way between Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, LA Knight, and Jacob Fatu, instead of a triple threat.

WWE United States Championship Fatal Four-Way Match Prediction at WWE Backlash 2025

Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, though being part of the New Bloodline, have had their differences ever since the former’s interruption cost Fatu a match against Braun Strowman. They had a dispute backstage. They had a disagreement when Solo Sikoa claimed Jacob Fatu is the current United States Champion because of him. Solo Sikoa was the reason the triple-threat match at Backlash turned Fatal Four Way, although it was unintentional.

Jacob Fatu came as an enforcer for Solo Sikoa’s bloodline and won the title before him. This must be the other reason for Solo to turn heel on him. Nick Aldis on SmackDown pointed out to Solo that he is trying to screw Jacob which is another hint towards his heel turn.
