Let's go through the order of play on second day of the Wimbledon championship.
The 2025 Wimbledon championship started on Monday, June 30 and it witnessed some iconic moments. Top seed players faced early elimination. A Couple of players retired during the match and a couple of games got suspended due to curfew. Fognini pushed Carlos Alcaraz to five sets and delivered a memorable performance on his final Wimbledon appearance. Holger Rune and Daniel Medvedev suffered a shocking exit in the first-round.

In women’s singles, top seed players like Sabalenka and Paolini reached the second round with easy wins. Ons Jabeur walked out in mid-match and No. 20 Seed Jelena Ostapenko faced elimination against Britain’s Sonay Kartal. It was a dramatic start for the Wimbledon and Day 2 is ready to offer more excitement.
The 2024 Wimbledon finalist and 24-time Grand Slam winner, Novak Djokovic will be in action today. Roland Garros champion, Coco Gauff and five-time major champion, Iga Swiatek will kick off their campaign in women’s singles. World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will be in action for his first-round clash against Luka Nardi. Apart from them, Musetti, Tommy Paul, Bublik and Jack Draper will be in action too.
