If you’re a boxing fan, then it’s hard to not know who Ryan Garcia is. He has fought in multiple weight categories including super featherweight, lightweight, and light welterweight. Garcia has also won the WBA Gold Belt after defeating the likes of Oscar Duarte. He is known for being some of the best boxers in the ring, who has lightning-fast hands, sharp reflexes, and has the charisma to standout at both inside and outside the ring. Garcia has some of the most devastating left hands we’ve ever seen in the boxing world and one hook is all it takes for him to turn the lights out for his opponent.
In the recent years, Garcia has been on top of the news channels and it has not always been for good reasons. He’s been accused of taking PEDs in his recent fight due to which he was suspended for a year after reaching a settlement with the New York State Athletic Commission. Garcia also used racial slurs against various ethnic groups which he later apologized for. He’s one of boxing’s biggest superstars and a global icon throughout the world and with that comes the good and the bad.

Garcia’s last fight was against Devin Haney on April 20th, 2024. Ryan had initially won the fight via majority decision. Later, when Voluntary Anti-Doping Association found out that Garcia had tested positive for Ostarine, a PED, he went ahead on social media and denied the claims of him cheating and even offered to take a drug test.
Later, the New York State Athletic Commission changed the fight’s result to no contest, and Garcia had to pay up $1.1 million, while Devin Haney’s record remained undefeated.
